Scratch branding

Scratch branding is a very popular version of the ad format. It’s based on a branding which is due to its size around entire page excellently visible for all the time a user is scrolling down the page. In this case, however, branding is complemented by a very entertaining wiping effect, where mouse movements gradually uncover an image hidden beneath the original layer of branding, much like the scratch card.

Design requirements

  1. The creative must not be transparent.
  2. Place important advertising messages in the main 1366 × 668 px area (see the dotted light area in the template). This is very important due to the different resolutions and ratios of the display devices. This area is visible to most users. To see if your creative meets the requirements for safe zones, test your creative in Safe zone test.
